Graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1998 from Bowdoin College (Maine) with a degree in French and History.

Jane Gendron became a full-time writer in October 2005. Her business, J Gendron Communications, is a hybrid of freelance journalism and promotional business writing.

This new company reflects a blend of professional experience, which began with a move to the awe-inspiring Wasatch Mountains in 1998. A cross-country journey, featuring a less-than-direct route from Connecticut to California, ended unexpectedly in Park City, Utah. Eager to write for a living, Jane landed her first gig as the Editorial Assistant of the local newspaper, The Park Record. Subsequently, she took over the arts and entertainment beat as Scene Editor, while waiting tables by night to support her skiing habit. A few years later, Jane immersed herself in the vibrant and somewhat whacky arts world as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Park City Performing Arts Foundation - a leading presenter of internationally renowned performers, ranging from Bill Cosby to Kris Kristofferson. After five years of rewarding work with PCPAF, she decided to branch out on her own, focusing all of her energy on her writing passion. She continues to write all promotional materials for the organization on a contract basis. Since 1999, Jane has contributed to Park City Magazine, Estates West magazine and various resort publications.

Jane was born in South Africa, raised in Connecticut, schooled in Maine, studied in France and spent a year as an exchange student in Norway. She speaks French and Norwegian, hikes or snowshoes every day with her golden retriever and would not survive without tea, chocolate and merlot (not necessarily in that order).
